Asheboro police investigating attempted bank robbery

ASHEBORO — Police are asking the public's help in finding a man who attempted to rob a bank Tuesday afternoon.

The man walked into the Bank of North Carolina at 175 N. Fayetteville St. at about 2 p.m. and demanded money, according to police.

The teller took some time gathering the money together and the man left before he got any money, said M.Lt. Maxine Wright with Asheboro police.
