CHOCOWINITY, N.C. - Tornado victims in the East are now the targets of identity theft and fraud.
Duncan Blevins went to the Red Cross to request aid following tornado damage in Beaufort County. But Blevins says he was told someone requested aid before him using his driver's license.
It's a practice North Carolina Attorney General Roy Cooper says is very common.
To contact Attorney General Cooper's scam hotline, dial 1-877-5-NO-SCAM (66-7226).
